Call for Nominations, IASPM-Canada Article or Chapter Prize, 2023

The International Association for the Study of Popular Music-Canada Branch (IASPM-Canada) requests your nominations for the most distinguished journal article or chapter in an edited essay collection. Submissions should focus on or have substantial content related to popular music studies and must either be written by a Canadian author, published in a Canadian journal or by a Canadian-based press, or deal substantially with Canadian subject matter. Submissions must have a 2022 publication date. Any member in good standing of IASPM-Canada may nominate an article or book chapter; association members may nominate their own work. The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2023. Nominations should include the author’s name, the article or chapter title, the title of the journal or book in which it is published, and the date of publication. Nominations should be sent electronically to the Awards Committees Coordinator, Sadie Hochman-Ruiz (hochman.sadie@gmail.com). The award committee will announce the winner at the 2022 IASPM-Canada meeting to be held from May 17-21.

Appel à candidatures, prix d’article ou de chapitre de l’IASPM-Canada, 2022

La branche Canadienne de l’International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM-Canada) vous invite à soumettre vos candidatures pour l’article de journal ou chapitre d’un ouvrage collectif le plus éminent. Les soumissions devraient porter sur, ou avoir un lien important avec la recherche en musique populaire. Elles doivent être rédigées par un auteur canadien, publié dans un périodique canadien ou par une maison d’éditions située au Canada, ou traiter d’un sujet Canadien de manière importante. Les soumissions doivent avoir été publiées en 2022. N’importe quel membre actif de l’IASPM-Canada peut soumettre la candidature d’un article ou chapitre de livre, avec la possibilité de soumettre leur propre projet. La date limite pour les soumissions est le 1 mars 2023. Les soumissions devront inclure le nom de l’auteur, le nom du chapitre ou de l’article, le nom du journal ou du livre dans lequel le projet est publié, ainsi que la date de publication. Veuillez envoyer vos candidatures par courriel au coordinateur du comité des prix, Sadie Hochman-Ruiz (hochman.sadie@gmail.com). Le comité des prix annoncera le ou la gagnante lors de la prochaine conférence d'IASPM-Canada en 2023 (du 17 au 21 mai).
